Designed by and for healthcare workers.

Pause A Moment (PAM) is an educational platform that teaches skills designed to improve one’s emotional well-being. PAM focuses on the well-being of healthcare workers impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic by providing opportunities to learn and practice tools aimed towards cultivating effective coping, self-care, and resilience-building, among others.

PAM’s built-in user tracking and customization enables the platform to progressively adapt the user experience to individuals’ usage patterns. Though initially developed using the perspectives of healthcare workers, PAM is designed for a general user population. We hope for the platform to support a variety of evidence-based tools beyond those already included.

PAM was developed by Stanford University School of Medicine faculty working with faculty and students from Stanford, the University of Michigan, Palo Alto University, and Columbia University, in collaboration with healthcare workers.
