The Hub is a Special Initiative of the Chair of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine, Dr. Laura Roberts.  We are a collaborative group of clinicians, researchers, educators, trainees, faculty, and staff within the Stanford Department of Psychiatry and the VA Palo Alto Health Care System with an interest in the intersection of mental health, innovation, and technology.

Mission

“A world where mental and emotional wellbeing is within reach, wherever you are”

Our mission is to develop, evaluate, and disseminate mental health technology and innovation to foster emotional wellbeing and ease the burden of mental illness worldwide.

Hub Team

Over the past year, the Stanford/VA Behavioral Telehealth and Technology (BTHAT) Workgroup, led by Co-Chairs Drs. Eric Kuhn and Steven Adelsheim, has collaboratively worked to develop the mission, scope, and initial activities/services of the Hub.  The BTHAT Workgroup's efforts included a departmental needs assessment, an environmental scan of ten similar centers around the nation  (conducting hour-long interviews with each), and a well-attended half-day retreat.  We especially appreciate the contributions of individual BTHAT workgroup members who volunteered to take on specific tasks and are very grateful to the tremendous efforts of Vicki Harrison and Erika Roach for bringing the Hub into existence.
